As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support staff and guests with strong communication, and document activities with attention to detail. This post requires an armed guard card/license. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior areas, exterior areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Carry, maintain, and handle authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
• Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate significant conditions to the appropriate contacts.
