As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support tenants, visitors, and property teams with customer-focused service while documenting activity and sharing clear updates. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed written reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate significant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts in a timely manner.
