As an armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will perform high-visibility patrols, conduct security-related rounds, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication. You will document activity, support access control, and help to deter security-related concerns while delivering customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of platforms, concourses, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
  • Control access at designated points by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local public responders as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and evidence handling records, and communicate observations promptly through radio and/or other approved systems.
