Job Description As a Security Officer - Resort Patrol Unarmed in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations as needed. You will maintain a visible presence, provide outstanding customer service, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing individuals as necessary.
  • Support hotel and resort staff during events or high-traffic periods by maintaining a visible presence and providing security-related assistance.
  • Document incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.
