Job Description As a Security Officer - Resort Grounds Patrol in Bethesda, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a hotel and resort location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel, resort areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter potential security-related concerns and unauthorized access.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols for the location.
  • Document security-related incidents and observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with hotel and resort staff, guests, and local authorities as necessary.
  • Support access control measures and visitor management processes as required by site-specific policies.
