As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for students and staff. You will remain visible throughout your shift, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and campus personnel to address security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior on the premises.
