Job Description As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in Wilmington, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining logs, and directing traffic flow per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, site leadership, and/or incoming officers.
