About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bike Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment through high-visibility rounds, access control support, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, where strong communication and customer service help residents and guests feel supported. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or property staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential common areas, amenities, garages, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, including checking identification and/or permissions when required, directing deliveries and service providers, and maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or on-site contacts.
