As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and visibility checks, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. You will help identify unusual conditions, respond to calls for assistance, and support a welcoming environment with strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements, while working with integrity through teamwork in a caring, innovative culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, check identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate locations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
