About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Gate Driver in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community where you will manage access control at entry points, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and document activity while staying highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns. This is a driving post, supporting mobile checks and quick response across the property as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and completing required visitor and/or contractor check-in steps.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic at community entry points, verifying authorization and documenting activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation, access activity, and other security-related observations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, amenities, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy issues.
