About The Position

As a Security Officer - Automotive Gate Driver in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-profile automotive location as an Access Control Officer. You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and entry logs, and support a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, associates, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the correct destination.
Screen and/or inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and packages in accordance with site procedures to help to deter unauthorized removal of property and/or entry of prohibited items.
Monitor gates, turnstiles, and access control systems, and report malfunctions and/or irregular activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unsecured doors.
Operate security-related communications and monitoring equipment, including radios, cameras, and alarm panels, and escalate alarms and/or suspicious conditions per post orders.
Complete shift reports, access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely, clear manner.
Support special events, high-traffic shift changes, and/or production schedule fluctuations by adjusting access control flow and coordinating with site contacts as directed.
