About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Full-Time Patrol in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, help manage access points, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have a state, county, and/or city issued security license preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Control access at entry points by observing visitor and contractor activity, confirming authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with property management, residents, and responding public services as needed, using radios and/or phones to relay timely information and support incident resolution.
