As a Security Officer - Residential Front Desk in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will monitor access to the building, assist with badge-related processes, and help to deter security-related incidents through your attentive presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting residents and visitors, answering inquiries, and assisting with access procedures at the front desk.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or unusual circumstances in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response protocols when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, or security-related events as required by site-specific policies.
  • Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and instructions to support the overall security-related operations at the residential location.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and/or vendors to provide information and address concerns related to front desk operations.
