Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location in New York. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to routine concerns with professionalism and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, common areas, loading and maintenance zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, directing visitors to appropriate destinations and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates to oncoming personnel, and report maintenance concerns observed during patrols through designated channels.
