As a Security Officer - Residential Complex in Elmhurst, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by preparing clear incident reports, following post orders, and assisting with directions, escorts, and other customer service-related duties as assigned.
