As a Security Officer Patrol Auditor in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity throughout the site. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and people first, always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate public agencies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support order at the location by following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating professionally with staff, visitors, and members of the public.
