Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Lima, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support site teams with clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document observations, follow response procedures, and contribute to a culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative, delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity. Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, administrative spaces, yards, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at entry points by checking identification and/or authorization, monitoring deliveries and contractors, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete routine reporting such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
