About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Reception Post in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a residential multifamily community, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and document security-related incidents using a computer and/or tablet. You will be a professional, visible presence, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with property staff. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet residents, guests, and vendors; verify identification and/or authorization, issue visitor credentials as required, and direct individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and intercoms; report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including visitor entries, incidents, and service requests, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
