Requirements

  • MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, verifying identification as needed, managing access to the location, and following site-specific security-related procedures.
  • Monitor the front desk area, maintain awareness of lobby activity, and help to deter unauthorized access, disruptions, and/or other concerning behavior through a visible presence.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Support retail operations by assisting with visitor check-in, directing employees and guests, documenting daily activity, and reporting unusual conditions, maintenance issues, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Operate front desk systems and communication tools, complete required logs and reports, and follow post orders, emergency response guidelines, and client-facing service standards.
