As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badge activity, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will help create a professional first impression while supporting a caring, people-first culture through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Staff the front desk to manage access control by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contact or meeting area.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk, reporting irregular activity and helping to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and prompt follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and pass-down notes, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel and client contacts.
