As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will greet tenants and visitors, manage lobby access and credential checks, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents and service requests. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps to reduce security-related concerns through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity, while delivering a caring customer experience in a fast-paced New York environment.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the commercial property lobby and common areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing guests to approved destinations.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, elevators, and other building systems from the front desk, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating communications with on-site staff and contacting public responders when needed.
  • Complete routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, receiving deliveries, maintaining shift reports, and supporting a professional lobby presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
