About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Ambassador in Lithonia, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At a busy retail distribution location, our Front Desk Officers serve as the first point of contact, helping to monitor access, greet visitors, verify credentials, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This role calls for strong communication, attention to detail, and a people-first mindset, backed by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a retail-related location.
Monitor access at the front desk by checking identification, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate department or contact.
Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Support security-related operations by observing activity in the lobby and entry areas, reporting unusual behavior, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Answer phones, assist with sign-in and sign-out processes, and complete required reports, logs, and other administrative documentation related to the post.
