As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and security-related protocols in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to clinical staff and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and fire or life support panels as assigned, and complete required notifications and documentation per post orders.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, perform routine inspections of doors and sensitive areas, and assist with visitor directions and compliance with facility rules.
