You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or dispatch calls, and document observations using a computer or tablet. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and authorized entry areas during patrol activities, assisting with verifying credentials, directing visitors, and/or reporting access concerns per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public services as required by post orders.
- Complete timely written reports and activity logs, including patrol observations, incident details, and follow-up actions, using the required reporting systems and/or forms.
