As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms, and communicate clearly with team members and site staff while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the distribution and retail location, including perimeter checks, parking areas, loading docks, and interior common areas as assigned.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control activities such as checking identification, logging visitors and/or contractors, and directing deliveries to the appropriate staging areas according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and use radios and/or other systems to report unusual conditions.
