As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to alarms and unusual activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology office location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, incident documentation, and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, corridors, parking areas, loading and delivery zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points by observing entry and exit activity, verifying identification and/or authorization when directed, supporting visitor check-in processes, and assisting with after-hours access control procedures.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs using site systems, and communicate relevant observations during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
