As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols while remaining visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms, support access procedures, and communicate clearly with onsite teams, visitors, and leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points by checking identification, controlling visitor entry, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and radios, and document shift activity, incidents, and patrols in written reports.
