Security Officer - Plant Reception
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Plant Reception in Shippingport, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome employees, contractors, and visitors, manage access control, issue badges, and support check-in procedures. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate updates to site leadership while delivering helpful customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Staff the front desk to monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contact.
- Answer phones and respond to requests for assistance by communicating clearly, documenting details, and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
- Support security-related incident reporting by observing and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Coordinate with onsite personnel regarding deliveries, vendor check-in, and restricted-area access by following written post orders and client requirements.
