As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property staff, and respond to requests with a customer-first mindset. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance, documenting details, and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and conditions that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring doors and gates, confirming visitor authorization as required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Complete routine reports and patrol logs, communicate observations to on-site management, and support security-related investigations by preserving details and following reporting procedures.
