Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Control in North Jackson, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees, contractors, and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and entry logs, and help direct traffic at key entry points. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns while delivering a customer-focused experience. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, collaborate with the team, and act with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, checking visitor and contractor authorization, issuing badges, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, document security-related activity, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with traffic control and/or facility evacuations when directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional facility presence.
