About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Clayton, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe activity around docks and entry points, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, trailer yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring gates, dock doors, and employee or visitor entry points; verify identification, log entries, and direct traffic as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate clearly with site contacts and/or responding personnel.
  • Complete detailed reports and required documentation, including shift activity logs, incident reports, and observations noted during patrols and/or post checks.
