About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly with site contacts, and document observations as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/Badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, assisting with visitor check-in, directing deliveries, and documenting unusual activity according to Allied Universal post orders.
  • Complete timely reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
