About The Position

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Galveston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and service-focused support, document observations, and communicate concerns quickly. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical area disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and/or unsecured doors to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and support shift-to-shift handoff of security-related information.
