Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Pembroke Pines, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and respond to calls for assistance while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including providing directions, supporting controlled entry processes, and helping staff with security-related requests.
  • Support security-related investigations by observing and documenting suspicious activity, preserving available information, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
