Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Foot Rover in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, support access control and badge checks, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service, and document observations. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit, including observing for prohibited items, assisting with visitor guidance, and supporting badging and/or sign-in processes as assigned.
• Complete accurate documentation such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
