Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Driver Patrol in FAIRFAX, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points and visitor activity while providing strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregularities.
• Monitor gates, doors, and restricted areas; verify authorization for access when directed; and document visitor and vendor entries in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required and completing required reports.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, radios, and electronic logs; communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
