Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, report hazards or unusual activity, and work as a reliable teammate while acting with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to alarms, door notifications, and visitor activity, verifying credentials and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial assistance, contacting emergency services when needed, and notifying site leadership per post orders.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives, and support investigations by preserving information and video requests per procedure.
