Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and deliver strong customer service while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid qualifications are preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A CPR certification is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site policy, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
Support access control, visitor processing, and communication with site contacts and/or emergency responders while following post orders and operational guidelines.
