As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or report concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and/or report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely, and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and/or communications for supervisors, client representatives, and public agency personnel as needed.
