About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Lead in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Have supervisory experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
Respond to incidents, student and visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with campus staff and local emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or disturbances during classes, events, and normal business hours.
Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and assist with directing students, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.
