Job Description As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Yorktown, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a distinctive hotel and resort location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support guests and staff with a caring, reliable approach while working as part of a team that values agility, innovation, and integrity every day. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a hospitality setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site management when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and help to address unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Support daily operations by communicating with staff and guests, maintaining a visible presence, and following Allied Universal post orders and incident reporting procedures.
