About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Driver Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy, backed by our agile, reliable, and integrity-led teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and/or escalations according to post orders.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
