Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screening Logistics Full-Time in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor access points, conduct security-related screenings, and interact with visitors and staff to help to deter incidents. Your role involves using technology and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X Ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for unusual activity.
Document and report all screening activities, incidents, and suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel to provide information and guidance as necessary.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to maintain a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.
