Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screening Logistics Full-Time in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor access points, conduct security-related screenings, and interact with visitors and staff to help to deter incidents. Your role involves using technology and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for unusual activity.
  • Document and report all screening activities, incidents, and suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel to provide information and guidance as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to maintain a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.
