Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or assigned areas within a government location, assisting with visitor interactions, directional support, and adherence to posted rules and site expectations.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance-related issues, and other security-related matters.
