As a Security Officer Patrol Support in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out assigned procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, assisting with entry procedures, visitor interactions, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining post records, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and/or operational issues.
