As a Security Officer Armed Train Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for staff, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols, while reporting unusual activity or policy violations.
  • Support emergency and incident response by assisting with evacuations, traffic and pedestrian direction, and coordination with law enforcement and/or first responders when appropriate.
