As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and deliver clear, professional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
• Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and document unusual activity in accordance with post orders.
• Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, communicate notable events during shift turnovers, and use surveillance systems and/or other security-related equipment as assigned.
