Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Reception Specialist in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Our Security Officers patrol a busy logistics and distribution location, helping to monitor access points, observe activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this unarmed role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or driver entry activity, and report suspicious behavior, operational concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
Support daily location operations by helping with foot and/or vehicle patrols, observing package flow and high-traffic areas, and completing routine reports related to security-related incidents and/or observations.
