About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Field Support in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
  • Conduct access control and observe entry and exit activity, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items while maintaining a respectful, service-oriented presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using communication and de-escalation techniques and coordinating with site personnel and/or responding emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them through established channels.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and site leadership in a timely manner.
