About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Full Time in HOUSTON, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a unique cultural institution location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This driving post combines visible presence, strong communication, and customer service while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements

6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and crowd flow, and report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to site instructions.
Support special events, exhibitions, and high-traffic periods by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with guests, staff, and/or first responders when needed.
